Best pub in London. Delighted for them and well deserved 👍👍👍 but I would class it as a Catfoed pub not a Forest Hill pub. Which one would you chose, Catford or Forest Hill??????????

I would say more Catford but then their post is delivered from Forest Hill sorting office and this means a lot to some people including the pub itself! In fairness, the award sites the pub between Catford and Forest Hill and it is hard to argue with that:

Well done to them.

I think it is in Catford and it is the climax of our mini FH to CF crawl.
... An absolute gem, and something for us all to be truly proud about!

I was there one evening and some of the customers were improvising folk Irish songs. It was so special, something I had never seen before in London.
I will never forget that!

It isn't really in Catford.
Postcode is SE23 1JB (thanks admin http://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php...46#pid6446) and it is in Crofton Park ward.
It is right on the boundary of SE6 and Catford, but then Horniman Gardens is right on the edge of Forest Hill, and Honor Oak Park station is only just in Lewisham.

The all-knowing google maps puts it in SE6 but address SE23. Always considered it Catford.

Forest Hill? Catford? Here's me thinking that it's location might be in the name!

Now there is a cracking question milliemop. Least likely to be Forest Hill I would say. I know of one person who calls it Crofton Park!

Having said that, it is just the name of the pub. Might as well ask: is the Honor Oak in Honor Oak, Dartmouth Arms in Dartmouth?

One thing that might be confusing the issue is that it's in 'Wider Topics' on the SE23.com website when its address is

The Blythe Hill Tavern
319 Stanstead Road
London
SE23 1JB

I'm not surprised that everyone wants to claim this little gem of a pub as their own though.
