A quick warning - last Friday morning I came out to find my car doors and boot open - no damange, but lose change in the glove box had been stolen and a small laser range finder from the boot was gone - larger items of value (golf clubs) were not taken. My neightbours had a satnav stolen from their car too.

I'm not sure if my car was left unlocked (neighbours had left a window open) or whether software had been used to gain access (as has happened to friends before).

Nothing was left on display, but it was still targeted.

Just a warning to make sure that you lock your car and don't leave anything valuable in your car if avoidable!

This happened to us late last year- our car was locked but they managed to get in but thankfully took nothing of value (we don't leave anything valuable in the car). We are near Westwood park.

The same thing happened to us a few weeks ago - small change only taken. We are on Horniman Drive.

Same thing happened to us on Westwood park a couple of months ago (I wonder if I am the neighbour you speak of!). Sat nav taken and an iPod cable. Never really got to the bottom of whether or not we left the car unlocked. As far as robberies go it was a fairly polite one! But annoying nonetheless.

My apologies to hear that you were victims of crime recently.

The local Residents' Association (TLERA) usually sends out a 'Crime Cascade' email whenever they hear about a crime that takes place on or nearby the Tewkesbury Lodge Estate. These emails encourage other local residents to remain vigilant, and some crime prevention advice is usually included too.

If you do hear about any crime on the Tewkesbury Lodge Estate please do send details through to: crime@tewkesburylodge.org.uk

Please include as much detail as you can (e.g. time the incident took place, if anything was stolen / vandalised, whether the police were called etc.). Please also help spread the word about the Crime Cascades to your neighbours.

If you live in the area and want to receive these emails please send a message through to the above address.
