We have used Wok Express since it was opened, yet on the last three occasions we have ordered a delivery, we have been so disappointed. Deliveries taking longer than stated, items missing from the order, and the food does not taste good. Very greasy, and the meat of poor quality. We hoped it was a blip, and thus have ordered a couple more times, but it has not improved and the last time, we through the majority of food in the bin.
Is it under new management/ownership?

I've never like their food myself but I walk past there every day and their shop front makes me laugh every time. You can't see in for all the posters advertising chicken, pizza and afternoon tea. They definately have an identity crisis - never a recipe for good food.

I was chuckle-free on the way home tonight. All the rubbish in the window has gone. Maybe they are under new management.

Oops, looks like they haven't been too hot on the hygiene front either....

Pity its gone down so much. It used to be a good place when we lived there. Used it from when it opened till we left in 2005, as it was the only place that did deliveries in those days, and the food was always good. The Lemon Chicken was superb.

We used Wok Express from 1999 when we moved here to about 2007 when it went seriously downhill (although it may have picked up again between times since then). I remember the lemon chicken well!

We've used EXP in Brokley for deliveries since 2007 and they are good (except on Sundays. I assume their main chef has that day off).

Perhaps they are closing down. Just passed there this morning and saw them moving a big cooking thing out of the front door. Pure speculation though..

After years of going there I will never go again since my last visit a few weeks ago. The girl 'serving' could not understand that I wanted all my meal together. She brought me boiled rice and said when I had finished she would bring the rest - it was a most uncomfortable experience as she gave the distinct impression that I was being awkward. Such a shame as it was a good place.

It was our favourite for many years - until I opened a box of chow mein and found a small dead cockroach right on top of it. OhmyOhmy

That explains the 0 stars hygiene rating then!
