We had a fire in our front garden which damaged our front uPVC window irreparably and somewhat damaged our then *brand new* plantation shutters - although the damage is really pretty minimal, obviously made of strong stuff.

We have since had the window replaced and are awaiting replacement shutters as our insurance covered this.

However the old shutters could be easily removed and with a bit of carpentry, could be made to fit a similar shape/size window. Alternatively someone clever could repurpose them for a different size window all together as the dimensions are huge.

The damage is as follows:

- Some faint discolouration on a few slats, cannot be seen from inside without very close inspection and not noticeable at all from the outside.
- Very minimal damage to frame upon removal. The frame would need some corking/filling where it joins your wall.

Other than that they look near perfect from inside the house and with some tlc they could transform a similar window. We live in a 1930s terrace house with an L-shaped bay in SE23, there are loads of very similar properties which these shutters could suit.

We paid over £2000 for them new - they were fitted in November originally, so are very recently made and by a very reputable shutters company based in Surrey. We are looking for £600 ono.

They would need to be (carefully) removed by the buyer/buyer's carpenter towards the end of the month or they could be collected on the day that the new shutters are to be installed (tbc, June).
