seems like there are a lot of people support arsenal, chelsea.man utd, liverpool etc who have no real link to the areas these teams come from.at least crystal palace is partly in the borough of lewisham.does anyone have dual affiliation and who do you support when they play each other?

Cheek - whats the matter with supporting Chelsea, yet i do agree, maybe you should support your local team and the Palace did not do that bad in the end in the premier

I supported Liverpool as a very young man (only ever saw them on the TV) but was taken to Selhurst Park at the age of 11, loved the atmosphere, became a Palace fan and have remained loyal ever since. You will probably find more Millwall than Palace fans in Forest Hill.

As for dual affiliation I find it hard to understand how you can support two teams equally. However I do have a Scottish team and that is East Fife. I can hardly be accused of being a glory hunter.

Because many of us support the teams that were local to us when we were younger. For a lot of us, that won't be anywhere near SE23.

I guess arsenal is not that far, but it is still a good hour's journey from here to Woolwich.

So why are you suggesting that Palace are a local team? I thought the nearest team was Dulwich Hamlet!

Perhaps people could support real sports where it is likely that something will actually happen in 90 minutes (plus some extra because someone fell over and grazed their knee or needed their hair doing) =) Discuss..
