1960srock n roll
 teddy boys still about.
motorbikes ruled the roads over old ford pops and so on.
 petrol 5 bob a gallon.
 sun always shined
 always snowed in winter
walking out one job into another.
 Picture houses everywhere
SE23 and 26 full of small shops no supermarkets.
 steam trains still running.
WH Smiths at FH a wooden shack and underpaid newpaper rounds
far less crime as compared to today.
 No EU
 British made goods everywhere

Each decade has something good or bad going on.
60's for the music in general, great cars like the Etype, 1966, Italian Job, Jim Clarke, Fashion, architecture (before it got Rubbish in the 70's) but not sexism, death penalty, Hindley, Rillington Place, Vietnam, political, assassinations etc.

70's for childhood innocence, the 76 Summer, snow, some great films, star wars (when it was still good), Concorde, we still had a car industry but not for 3 day week, general strike, general despair, sexism, racism, Nationalism, Nixon, people like Saville, Terrorism or flairs.

80's for some music, Swap Shop, end of the Berlin Wall, but not the continuation of much of the above, Thatcher, Reagan, Society changes, strikes, end of the British Car Industry and manufacturing, unemployment, divided society etc.

90's are probably my favourite decadeā¦more prosperous, 96 was a great year, great music, better clothes, but still lots of negatives.
