Hello,

Ilive in Wanganui New Zealand, and in my wardrobe, I have an old wooden coathanger with the words Frank W. Amos, Ladies and Gentleman's tailor, 1 & 31 Perry Vale, Forest Hill S.E.23.

I 'googled' the above, and found your web site. If anyone can tell me anything about the history of Frank W. Amos. I am very much interested.

Many thanks Binny

Great to hear from someone in New Zealand.
I have lived within 1.5 miles of Perry Vale for over 60 years and do not remember this company. However until the mid 70's lived in neighbouring Sydenham and did not often visit Perry Vale area.
I know there are local history experts who view this site and do hope one of them can through some light onto it.
I know that up to the 30's a company called Kelly's issued annual directories of all business's and residents of the area.

Dear Brian,

Thank you for your reply. I am hopeful that others may be able to help. Meanwhile, I will do a little research on my own about the area,
