Great - hope to see you all at Canvas and Cream on Thursday. I'm hoping with a group / team I'll be more motivated. I do Pilates but I need to get the heart beat up a bit.....Am really pleased this seems to be taking off. I'll send my phone number later in the week so you can call me to confirm Canvas & Cream meet-up. - and my name's Helen BTW.

Is it possible to still add a name to the walking group? I would be interested in joining

That's Lovely - the fact that a few of us will be at C&C has made my c**p day a bit better, even if you can't stay for long. We'll agree on an evening or perhaps evenings (! ambitious....!), then a route, then probably swap numbers so we can text each other to say walking / not walking.... Then decide on a date. Exciting. Good evenings everyone.

I'm interested in the idea, it's certainly easier to do exercise with others rather than by yourself. I'll see you Thursday evening

I will be there, too, though I have a slight question about the age profile as a not so young walker.

Hi,
I'd also like to check if this is a ladies only group.

Although this won't stop me covering the group on my website so others can get to know about it, I need to know if I'll be welcome if I come along myself to join in!

 Best wishes

 Paul

Hello, instead of just randomly showing up, I thought I would, um, announce myself? Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Sandy - age, I'm 46 and unfit. And so I guess at the moment it's more to do with building stamina, and with practice we can speed up.... Hope you can make it tomorrow. Helen

Hi - if a chap wants to join then I'm OK with that, and if you're a fitness expert then you might be able to help with walking speed and technique - yes, technique! I saw in the Guardian that there's a knack to doing this arms, stride per minute etc. But I ain't doing that weird 1970s speed walking nonsense!

Unfortunately I have to work in Birmingham tomorrow so won't make it back in time but if I happen to be walking home and spot you I'll say hello. I'll keep an eye on the thread and come to a future walk.
 Best wishes

 Paul

Hi
Is this group still going? I would be interested in joining if you have space for one more.

 Thanks.

Yes, it is. We are mostly women with one regular male walker and we have done many Wed evening walks, alternating between FH and HOP stations to start. If you PM me with your email address I can send you more details. We are re-starting walks in September after Aug break.
