This year we mark the 350th anniversary of his death.
He ended his life in semi-obscurity, dogged by personal tragedy, scandal and financial ruin.
Local Art historian Rupert Dickens tells the fascinating story of Rembrandt's rise to become one of Holland's most fashionable painters and the decline of his career.
