Look what is missing - the pedestrian crossing island.
Of all the changes to perry vale in recent years, some good, some oversights and some comical, this fairly new crossing fell into the good camp.
Removing it can not be justified - it is total incompetence at best, homicidal at worst.
How are pedestrians meant to safely get from the underpass to the South bus stop or pub or even to their new flat?
And the pavement on the West side next to the car park entrance is having a good 2 foot removed to allow cars to pull out wide before cutting in. (travelling North).
So all margin for error is removed between the banking cars and you/your loved ones/your pooping dog at this point.
No pavement is widened unless you count the 'lips' extending from Hindsley's Place.
Who on earth approved these plans? They are pedestrian hostile.
