This afternoon, traffic was brought to a standstill for several minutes because one of the local traders (shan't name which!) had parked their van outside their shop. It was mostly on the pavement, but not quite, which meant that no traffic coming up from Forest Hill could get past when there was traffic coming the other way, which there was.

I wonder if the single yellow lines should really be doubles as any parking on the narrowest part of the road (before you get past Sugar Mountain) causes gridlock.
