Raise a few quid. Raise awareness. Raise your fitness levels. Raise a smile.

Would you like to complete a walking challenge through London’s iconic landmarks?

Would you like your involvement to also benefit a fantastic local charity?

Then please join our team for the annual “Carers Thames Walk”.

The event takes place on Saturday 31st May 2014 and with a 2.5 mile, 7 mile and 10 mile option (all with wheelchair access), it really is suitable for anyone.

You can take part while helping us raise much needed funds for carers, who unpaid, support ill, elderly or disabled friends and family members.

We, like you, believe that every carer should be recognised, valued and supported. After all, they save the London Borough of Lewisham £412 million every year as every £1 spent on carers saves the community £14.

On average, it costs Carers Lewisham £130 per year to provide our basic service for an adult carer.

• £5 enables us to send them an extensive information pack.
• £5 funds one telephone advice line call.
• £8 is the cost of a face-to –face meeting for emotional or practical help.
• £10 is the annual price of our quarterly newsletter.

A small price to pay for services which can literally be a lifeline.

When you join our team, we’ll be on hand to offer support, advice, publicity and Carers Lewisham materials to help you reach your fundraising target.
Please help our team to continue touching the lives of thousands of local people.

Whether they are faced with a crisis, a loved one’s devastating diagnosis or are seeking to improve their quality of life, I promise you that your efforts will make a world of difference.
