The following information was received in an email from TFL this morning:

"From the evening of Sunday 22 March until early 2016, we will be redeveloping four junctions around Oval Tube station to create segregated cycle lanes and enhanced public space. This is part of the Road Modernisation Plan.

Public transport
Access to Oval Tube station will be retained at all times, but there may be changes to pedestrian crossings around the entrance during certain times. Buses passing through Oval may be subject to delays, diverted or stop short of their normal destination, including route 185.

Road users
Roads in the Oval area are expected to be busier than usual. Lane closures and turning restrictions will be in place; you are advised to avoid the area during peak hours where possible. Cycle lanes will stay in place or be provided where feasible, although temporary closures may be necessary at times."
