Post: RE: Stansted Road / Brockley Rise junction lights.

You can indeed get much more detailed views - this photo needed a focal reducer to make the whole moon fit in the field of view. Normally you can only see a little part of the moon, but the detail yo...

Thanks - it was just an ordinary Canon DSLR attached to the back end of my telescope. I tracked the ISS through the finder-scope, pushing the scope by hand to keep the ISS as close to the cross-hairs...

I've wasted great swathes of time watching and photographing the ISS from Forest Hill. Here's a short video I made of it when it came over on 14 April. http://s46.photobucket.com/user/PaulRide/media...

Post: Wanted - a bit of space in a skip

Does anyone have spare capacity in a skip? I've been smashing up a bit of our front garden wall and clearing stones from the flower bed and, as a result, I have seven small but very full rubble sac...

The view from One Tree Hill is quite restricted because of the trees, I think Blythe Hill Fields would be better (and less likely that there'll be people in the way). Having said that, the view fro...

I went up that tower last summer during a bike ride organised by Lewisham Cyclists (no, we left the bikes out at the front). The owners are doing a great job of restoring the tower and I am very envi...

As a cyclist I'd like to chip in and say that it's quite a useful route, aprticularly when out cycling with children, as it avoids the A205 under the railway at FH. It's a bot of a pain having to pus...
