Having said that there was a house for sale on Boveney Road recently for 650K, which makes the 550K Hengrave one look like good value. I suppose a house is worth what someone is willing to pay for it....

Big talk of controlled parking zones amongst HOP residents. There's a thread on this site about it. They have one in ladywell but not sure it's had any affect on house prices!

Apparently the guy who owns the boarded up shop has bought the old honor oak tandoori as well, hence the sold sign. Not sure what his plans are other than to protect his premises with the boards!

According to the East Dulwich Forum there has been a shooting outside the cemetery on forest hill road. Huge traffic problems. Please avoid the area. Very sad.

Both are great areas. However, I think HOP wins for bringing up kids and nights out. There are open spaces - one tree hill, the rec, peckham rye etc... great schools - dalmain, stillness, fairlawn......

I have a few friends and family on Devonshire Road. Parking isn't a problem other than during the day at either end by the stations. Nearest green space would be the Horniman gardens or One Tree Hill ...
