Lewisham planning say that no application is necessary for work to hedges. A quarter of the hedge has gone already. Oh well. |

This beautiful long hedgerow is covered in signs reading 'major tree works' and parking is suspended along the road this morning. I imagine that it's all going to be removed and replaced with nasty fe... |

Thread: Oxleas Wood, Shooters Hill. Post: RE: Oxleas Wood, Shooters Hill.
Lovely parkland in the heart of Kate Bush country, with decent car-parking, and a friendly cafe with plenty of outdoor seating looking southwards down the hill. |

Looks generally better on the turn in the road... but yes, some trees would soften the street landscape somewhat. Now... where's that controlled pedestrian crossing?.... |

I don't think we should be throwing an more money at projects for 'youths' than we do already. We need to get senior members of the community out and about in a safe environment. Go to any other Europ... |

Thread: New Furniture Shop on Perry Vale Post: RE: New Furniture Shop on Perry Vale
I wish this area could be pedestrianised. The 'heart' of the so-called town will never be up to much as long as the S. Circular thunders through it. It could make a great new focus for Forest Hill. |

Thread: Does Perry Vale need a coffee shop? Post: RE: Does Perry Vale need a coffee shop?
I think I would only use it on the walk to the station in the morning, but there's so many people pass that way, maybe it's an option? |

A community garden?? Right, somewhere else for the yoofs to hang around and the rest of us to give a wide berth to. Decent quality housing would be my preference. |
