Post: RE: Eateries

Finally made it to Bona yesterday. It's very good indeed, and very good value. It's basically targeting exactly the same ground as Franco Manca but perhaps with a bit less of a sense of being ushered ...

Shared ownership schemes are very good but there aren't very many of them as a share of the overall housing stock. Prices in areas like FH have shot up so fast in recent years that the ability to o...

I've never had an outstanding takeaway in Forest Hill, sadly. The south asian places are all middling to poor (Babur excepted but only ever eaten in there) - they all seem to have a problem infusing t...

Yeah I had a quick look in yesterday and the beer selection is bland. Ales were theoretically Doom Bar, London Pride and a local one from Brixton but none of them were actually on at 8pm. The tap beer...

Post: RE: Dartmouth Tandoori to become Domino's Pizza?

Yes, the key question is whether it is already considered to be mixed A3/A5 use, though they would still need an application if they wanted to switch to pure A5. My guess is that they wouldn't be t...

Post: RE: Dartmouth Tandoori to become Domino's Pizza?

Indeed yes there will - from A3 to A5 (hot food takeaway) or mixed A3/A5 if they are maintaining a restaurant use (assuming the unit doesn't already have partial A5 status). The relevant policy to ...

Queuing vehicles stopping over pedestrian crossings is a particular menace in the Southwark St/Borough High St area (and elsewhere of course, but it's particularly acute here).
