Does anyone know how to arrange this- a luxury I know but one we could do with at the minute- I asked the newsagent near Provender as I heard they delivered but this was two weeks ago and after two further visits to the shop and leaving our number several times with no response, I get the impression that they are not interested. Would appreciate any information from the public leading to the successful delivery of the Observer.. |

Hi Roz Too be honest have not seen any people delivering national newspapers. Free rags and pizza leaflets seem to be no problem Good Luck |

Hi Roz I think like milk delieveries they have to have a certain number of clients in ajacent roads to make it economically worthwhile. I well remember when I of school age ( rather too many years ago ) that nearly every house had a paper delivered. Unless you can encourage most of your neighbours to share your views then little chance I am afraid. If you are unable to leave the house at present maybe you could find a kind neighbour to get your paper when they get theirs. |

You might be able to have the newspaper posted to you. |

While newspaper subsccriptions are a good thing, can't see it working with a Sunday paper? And even with a Saturday one, I doubt you'd be reading it over breakfast given when my post, for one, shows up. |

I used to have a newspaper delivered from the newsagents in Honor Oak Park. I do see them still delivering at weekends in Devonshire Road / Boveney Road. |

We get ours delivered by the newsagents in Dartmouth Road - not the one nearest Provender as they stopped delivering a while back - business taken over by the next one along towards Forest Hill. Sorry can't remember the name but will check this evening. We do live quite near - off Thorpewood - so it may depend on where you live but we have found them reliable. |

Some newspapers have a delivery service. I think the Times does. It would be worth it going to the web site of the paper you want and seeing if they have a home delivery option. |
