2nd Tuesday of every month - The Forest Hill & District Classic Car Club meets at the Crofton Park Baptist Centre on Brockley Grove from 8 pm onwards. Tea and biscuits, talks, video nights, quizzes and regular events thoughout the summer. All cars over 25 years old welcome. Turn up on the night or contact johncv8staddon@btinternet.com for membership details.

Wednesdays 12-2pm - Young women's group with free crèche at Platform One. Phone Judy or Katy on 020 8291 2328.

Thursdays 7.30-9.30pm - Honor Oak Singers in Forest Hill - more information on 020 8699 8477. Repertoire is popular music, musicals and jazz.

2nd Thursday of each month - Our bookclub meets in a few of the members houses in Brockley or Forest Hill. New members are welcome and we will forward a book list on request. Please contact club founder Annette Lewis (anetlewdysl@yahoo.co.uk) or club secretary Janet Haagensen (jmhaagensen@yahoo.co.uk). If you haven't time to come to a book club you can find our group on Facebook, we are called the Brockley Book Club and a booklist has been posted on the site.

Fridays 10am-12pm (term time) - Parent & baby group at the Methodist Church on Normanton Road. Entrance £1, tea/coffee 50p. Toy donations welcome. Just turn up - no need to book.

Fridays 10am-2pm (term time) - Devonshire Road Nature Reserve - Volunteer in the garden, plant your seeds, and be happy! We would like to extend the membership of the Friends Group in order to ensure full involvement of the community in the reserve and garden. The objectives of the group are to promote, maintain and enhance the wildlife and botanical value of Devonshire Road Nature Reserve and its educational use for the public. We ask a nominal annual subscription of £2.00 per member for the calendar year. For more information phone 020 8699 3044. Saturdays - Family storytelling sessions on second Saturday each month at the Horniman Museum. Call 020 8699 1872.

Sundays 2.30-4.30pm - Tales from the Galleries and the Gardens on third Sunday each month at the Horniman Museum.
